Rory started The Steadfast Crew to provide opportunities for networking, camaraderie, and to share best practices throughout the entire first responder community. As a member of the fire service for over 19 years, 11 years with his current department, Rory values a positive crew culture, and works to continue this tradition in the groups he serves.

Rory leads his local department honor guard, and is a proud instructor of his local Fire Explorer program. He also serves on the AFFI state honor guard, as well as his local and state HAZMAT teams. When not on shift, he is the director of the Fire Science program for a high school consortium that prepares the youth for careers in emergency response services, and also serves on committees for SKILLS USA.

Passions (besides everything fire service) include his wife and kid, adventure racing, watching Big Brother, and dessert.

The Steadfast Crew Kid is proud to bring his training skills to The Steadfast Crew: How To video series. His mission is to ignite a love of learning and a respect for all professions that help the community. When he's not creating training tutorials, The Steadfast Crew Kid loves Captain America, playing with his dog, and reading.
